French Fries with Garlic Aioli


Potato - 4 medium sized

Refined Vegetable Oil for frying



Garlic fine chopped - 1 tsp

Mayonnaise - 2 tbsp

Salt - pinch 

Black Pepper crushed - pinch

Lemon juice - few drops


1. Wash the potatoes and peel the skin of the potatoes. Cut into thick slices and cut the slices into finger size batons

2. Heat oil in a deep vessel. Once the oil reaches a smoking point add the cut potatoes into hot oil with small batches at a time. Be cautious when using hot oil.

3. Remove the potatoes when the colour changes to golden yellow.

4. Sprinkle some salt.

5. For the garlic Aioli heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan. Add the fine chopped garlic and saute till the garlic starts to change colour. Remove the garlic and cool it for a while.Mix the the garlic with mayonnaise, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Use the Garlic Aioli as a dip for French Fries.
