Food For Healthy Hair

These are some of the food that can help to rejuvenate your hair and reduce the hair related problems.

 

AVOCADO

Avocado mixed with olive oil can do wonders to the dull hair. Make a paste of a ripe avocado and some olive oil. Apply to the hair. Leave for half an hour and rinse. The Vitamins A and E present in Avocado is all good for your hair.

EGGS

Mix an egg with few drops lemon juice, honey, curd and coconut oil. Apply the mixture on the hair for and leave for half an hour. Then rinse with water. The protein and vitamin in egg will add strength and shine. Consuming an egg also will also help to get the nutrient called biotin that is good for the hair. The essential minerals like iron, selenium and sulphur present in the egg is helpful for the hair growth.

LEMON

If you are having dandruff on the scalp and would like to get rid of it through nature's way the lemon would be the best remedy. Few drops of lemon juice mixed with honey when applied to the hair can help you to keep your hair dandruff free.

CITRUS FRUITS

Citrus fruits like orange, sweetlimes, berries and grapefruits are rich source of vitamin C.  These fruits when consumed on regular basis will reduce the hair breakage by improving the blood circulation on the scalp.

FISH AND SEAFOOD

Fish is a rich source of protein and omega 3 fatty acids. Intake of fish on regular basis is considered to be good for the hair. Oily fish like salmon, mackerel, sardine and herring are considered to be a good source of Omega 3. Seafood like oyster contains a mineral called Zinc which is vital for a healthy scalp.

NUTS

Nuts like almonds, walnuts and groundnuts are rich in vitamin E.  Vitamin E is essential for protecting the hair from harmful rays of the sun.

VEGETABLES

Leafy and green vegetables like spinach, k ale and broccoli are rich in Vitamins and minerals necessary for healthy hair.  Iron found in leafy vegetables promotes hair growth.Yellow vegetables like carrot and pumpkin are rich in beta carotene required to produce Vitamin A. It helps to produce sebum which provides the natural oil for the hair.

YOGURT

Yogurt when applied to hair acts like a conditioner and provides shine and smoothness to the hair. Its intake can provide Vitamin D and B5 and certain protein which is good for the hair follicles.
