Aloo Jeera

INGREDIENTS

Potato Whole - 500 gm

Oil - 2 tbsp

Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp

Bay Leaf - 1

Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp

Salt - to taste

Lemon Juice - few drops

GARNISH

Coriander leaves chopped - little

Lemon Wedge - 1

METHOD

1. Wash the potatoes and boil them in salted water till cooked. Remove and cool. Once cooled remove the skin of the potatoes and cut into cubes.Do not overcook the potatoes. Alternatively you can peel the  raw potatoes and cut them into cubes and boil them.

2. Heat oil in a cooking pan. Add cumin seeds and a bay leaf. Stir for 30 seconds. add the cubed boiled potatoes. add salt, turmeric powder , garam masala and lemon juice. cook for some time by stirring continuously. 

3. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and a lemon wedge.
