Paneer Khurchan

INGREDIENTS

Paneer / cottage cheese  cut into 2 inch strips- 500 gm

Cumin Seeds - 1/4 ts

Garlic chopped - 1 tsp

Onion julienne - 50 gm

Tomato julienne ( seeded) - 50 gm

Tomato puree - 50 ml

Bell pepper Julienne - 50 gm

Garam Masala Powder - 1/4 tsp

Turmeric powder - 1 pinch

Chilly powder - 1/4 tsp

Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp

Kasoori methi - 1/4 tsp

Salt to taste

Oil - 2 tbsp

GARNISH

Coriander Leaves - few sprig

Green chilly halves lengthwise - few

METHOD

1.Heat oil in a pan or kadhai.

2. Add chopped garlic, onion, cumin seeds. saute for a while. Add chopped tomato and tomato puree. Cook for a 4 to 5 minutes on medium heat.

3.Add bell pepper julienne and tomato julienne. Add garam masala, turmeric powder and chilly powder. Add salt.

4.Cook them for one minute on high heat and add paneer strips or batons. Scrape the pan when the paneer sticks to the pan with regular intervals.

5. Add kasoori methi and finish with lemon juice.

6.Garnish with coriander leaves and green chilly halves.
